When You Move Into Focus

when you move into focus

toward the thing there

all sight is opened in this way:

inside the room with one small hole

there is light that folds light on itself

like pages rocking in the arms of a book.

and here you see why they retreat from the rain:

it is not the fear of water,

it is simply the need to wait.
